Welcome to PalCal! By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
By accessing or using PalCal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Child Safety Standards. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
PalCal is a shared calendar application for iOS and Android that lets you create group calendars, plan events, chat with the group and share memories. Calendars are private and invitation-only. The service includes both free and premium features, and runs on cloud infrastructure provided by Google Firebase.

Anyone who creates a calendar controls who may join it, and may approve or remove members and delete the calendar. Sharing an invite code gives its holder the ability to request to join, so share it only with people you intend to invite. Deleting a calendar deletes its events, messages and shared media for every member.
You retain ownership of content you create in PalCal. By sharing content within the app, you grant us the limited licence needed to store, transmit and display that content to the other members of your shared calendars, and to keep the routine backups that operating the service requires. You are responsible for the content you share and for having the rights to share it.
We do not routinely monitor content, but we may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms or that are reported to us.
PalCal offers an optional premium subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, and are subject to that store's terms. They renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel a subscription in your device's account settings, and refunds are handled by the store that took the payment.
We may suspend or terminate your access to PalCal if you violate these terms; violations of our Child Safety Standards result in permanent removal without warning. You may delete your account at any time in the app's settings.
PalCal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and the app depends on third-party platforms and networks outside our control. We are not responsible for any data loss, though we take reasonable measures to protect your information. PalCal is not a substitute for an independent record of anything important.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PalCal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
